Left With Nothing

how do you get rid of a hangover you ask?
by using this combination for awesomeness:
friday night, drowning your sadness of the nuggets lost in booze and burger king + waking up and going to the zoo with your dear friend jessica werner. hangover + animals = yes.

jess and i got up on saturday morning aching from the bad decisions of the night before and we went to the zoo. normally one wouldn’t think that walking around in the hot sun for 4.5 hours would help them post party night – boy were they right. however, the overzealousness we had for the animals, made it the best day ever.

i was so excited, that i pointed at something.

the giraffes have very long tongues. jess did her best to impersonate the giraffe’s tongue. actual size of the tongue is 17 inches.

polar bears can get up to 10 feet…that’s one big bear.

jess was 5′ 8″ – i was 5′ 4″ – together we are taller than that bear. gotcha bear.

jess’ paws aren’t quite as big as the polar bears.

“sea lions are just a bunch of showboaters.”

cheetahs.

this elephant was thirsty. this elephant was real.

giant dinosaur turkey. scariest bird ever.

lorikeets are for lovers.

ancient civilizations in the primate house. nope. just jess.

monkeys.

the king of the jungle: ryan, the lion.

traditions at the zoo. stare at the gorilla.

all in all. a lovely day at the zoo.
