june 16th – 30DaysOfAwesome, day 7.
growing up, i always wanted to go to mt. hood for summer camp. i would beg my mom to send me to get better at snowboarding and procure my pro snowboarding future. sadly, instead of snowboarding camp, i usually ended up being part of the summer golf program. as a result, i’m an okay golfer, and a mediocre snowboarder.
okay, perhaps i stretch the truth a wee bit.
i’m just as bad at golf as i am at snowboarding.
today was my first experience being part of a snowboard summer camp. woodward at copper kicked off their summer season with the first session, an adult camp sponsored by burton.
i headed up to represent my brand and hang with the campers, and the kind folks at woodward let me play around on the tramps and in the foam pits. i’ve never done anything even remotely close to this, and ate the whole thing up. although i didn’t get to drop in on the big jump, you can be sure i’ll be heading back up to woodward asap. after all, i need to dial in my cork10s.

sooo much fun!

burton created some amazing tramp boards for the campers to progress their shredding.

foam pit! (my favorite part was the foam process logos!)
