Left With Nothing

i have been a fan of the creative genius that is the lonely island since before “i’m on a boat” – back when jorma was the sensitive one in awesometown and they were just 2 guyz having a good time.

infact, many college memories were spent playing 21 questions and wondering if steve and glirk ever hooked up. he did. he LOVED it.

needless to say, when the three of them were swooped up by Saturday Night Live, I knew the world was in store for something amazing things.

HOWEVER, out of all the laughs that i have due to this trio, that the tale of jack sparrow featuring michael bolton is the best thing on the internet. perhaps ever. they have not only outdone themselves, but given michael bolton a second chance at being a comedic icon (the first being the no-talent ass clown from office space).

i don’t know where michael bolton has been hiding, but i wish he would have come out sooner. bravo, brava.

so, it is no secret that i got an iphone for my birthday this year (thanks mom!). and while most of my time has been spent murdering people in words with friends and catching air in tiny wings (x280, no big deal), my favorite app thus far has been instagram.

its a sweet photo app, that allows me to pretend im an amazing photographer. here are some snapshots of my work.

its about that time again. time to blog. for the few of you who follow me past the adventures of awesome, my apologies for the lack of blogging this past season. my job has once again kept me busy through the winter season, with little else to do but sleep and drink. sometimes eat. on that note, i’m back on the saddle again and preparing for another amazing summer – i can assure you this year’s awesome will take it up a notch, and my blogging (true to form), will be filled with nonsense and photographs.

once again, i present: 10 random things you didn’t know about me, part duex.

1. i hate when people spell my name wrong.
it’s LESLEY, not LESLIE. i realize that most ladies in the world spell their name with an “ie” – however mine is not. it absolutely grinds my gears when people spell my name wrong on facebook…i mean seriously people is it that hard?

sadly, sometimes it happens in other places too. recently, i was featured in Snowboard Colorado Magazine, and much to my dismay, the “ie” was there.

luckily, they were kind enough to correct it and frame the correct spelling for me.

do me a favor and atleast try to remember how to spell my name. that, or just call me LB or elbee.

2. i can fit my fist in my mouth.
best stupid human trick ever. however, my mother has suggested i should not do this while a) drinking or b) drinking around boys. i usually do both.

3. i hate chocolate.
you probably already know this – but for the few out there who continually offer me chocolate and rub it’s deliciousness in my face – no thank you, i don’t eat chocolate.

4. i’m an only child with 3 brothers/sisters.
only child to my parents together – but have the best half-brothers&sisters in the world. they’re 1/2, but i whole love them.

5. i had an imaginary friend named sonja. she was a tiger.
she also knew karate.

6. i didn’t learn how to ride a bike until i was 11.

i’m not gonna lie, i’m still not very good at it.

7. the movie paranormal activity 2 scared the bejesus out of me. and still does.
even watching the trailer makes me nervous. #weak

8. i have been to 36 states.

9. i hate sublime.
no seriously. i can’t stand them.

10. i once sat next to mayor giuliani on a plane and told him i was a professional snowboarder.
i was 12 and had no clue who he was. he believed me and gave me a speech about how the youth of today should be more like me and go after their dreams. whoops.
